Webb Dock East Berth 4 Extension

The Port of Melbourne is carrying out extensive expansion works at Webb Dock East berths to reduce port congestion and improve port efficiency. The expansion will allow the port to accommodate larger ships at what is Australia’s largest container and general cargo port.

LFF Pipelines and Infrastructure was chosen to supply both circular pipe and sheet piles to straighten and extend the quay line by 71 metres, allowing for the berthing of larger container vessels as well as multiple large vessels consecutively.  2500 tonnes of piles, in lengths up to 51m, were manufactured, coated and shipped to the Port of Melbourne before being discharged and transported to the Ports laydown area by our team.
