Fuel Oil Pipeline

As part of upgrades to iOR Petroleum's Lytton facility, adding an additional 110 million litres of diesel storage and helping to meet the Federal Governments long term fuel security goals, a new fuel oil transfer pipeline is being built. The pipeline will connect the Lytton Fuel Import Terminal at the Port of Brisbane (Queensland, Australia) to iOR's storage facility and will be constructed via horizontal directional drilling.

LFF Pipeline and Infrastructure was chosen by iOR to supply 2.7 kilometres of API 5L X52 PSL2 line pipe with an outside diameter of 24" and wall thickness of 12.7mm complete with a 6mm 3 layer polyethylene external coating. The pipes were supplied in 18m lengths to reduce joints within the pipeline which sits under the Brisbane river.
