Shoalhaven Starches Pipeline

Manildra Group recognises that securing stable, reliable, affordable and clean energy sources is vital to the growth, success and future of their Shoalhaven Factory. To meet these energy requirements, they are in the process of constructing a gas-fired cogeneration plant, in conjunction with a gas pipeline. The pipeline will deliver gas directly to the cogeneration plant where each gas turbine will burn the natural gas to drive a generator and produce electricity. The waste heat from the exhaust gas is recycled to create steam in a heat recovery steam generator. 

LFF Pipeline and Infrastructure was chosen to supply 6.4 Km of 323.9mm OD x 12.7mm Wt API 5L X65 PSL2 HFW line pipe with a 3 layer polyethylene coating, inclusive of delivery to the construction contractor's yard adjacent to the Manildra factory.
